Kacey Legnitto, MS, RD is a Registered Dietitian, Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian, and an Intuitive Eating Certified Counselor. She specializes in eating disorders, intuitive eating, and sports nutrition. Her private practice is located in Los Altos, CA.

Kacey is currently working for The Healthy Teen Project, an intensive outpatient and partial-hospitalization program for teens struggling with eating disorders. She started working at The Healthy Teen Project in June 2017.

Kacey interned with the Oregon Ducks Athletic Team, from February 2015 – May 2015. She worked with various athletic teams talking with athletes at the fueling stations, helping to prepare nutritious snacks for competitions, and delivering nutrition education talks to the teams.

Kacey worked with EXOS at Intel Corporation in Mountain View, CA as a corporate wellness consultant, from June 2015 – May 2016. She provided nutrition counseling for employees in an individual setting and in group sessions. She also ran a nutrition education group for the employees on a daily basis.

Kacey worked at Cielo House, a residential program and partial-hospitalization program for adults struggling with eating disorders, from May 2016 – June 2017. Kacey worked with a multi-disciplinary team to help evaluate and effectively treat individuals suffering from eating disorders.  She provided nutrition counseling for clients in a one-on-one and group setting.

Kacey has received her CEDRD, Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian, certification. She is working in conjunction with and under the supervision of Marci Evans, MS, CEDRD, cPT in order to best meet the needs all of her clients.

Kacey completed her advanced training under the guidance of Evelyn Tribole MS, RD in order to become an Intuitive Eating Certified Counselor on February 21, 2017.

Kacey received her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from California State University, Chico. She earned her Master’s Degree in Family and Consumer Sciences, with an emphasis in Dietetics, from Eastern Illinois University and completed her dietetic internship at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.

Kacey is passionate about helping individuals heal their relationship with food, their bodies and exercise. Kacey specializes in working with individuals suffering from eating disorders, disordered eating, and those wanting to become intuitive eaters.

Kacey’s love for her profession and helping others fuels her desire for continued education in the ever-evolving field of eating disorders. Her goal is to be a life-long student in order to bring the most current and best care to each and every client she encounters.

When Kacey is not at work, she is outdoors, hiking with her dog and fiancé, reading a good book, cooking, baking, and hanging out with her friends.
